Supporting daughter with breast cancer

Hi

My daughter has TNBC confined to Breast only with no lymph involvement

She is undergoing chemotherapy atm and has great support network myself included

However lately   I am struggling emotionally with lots of tears  and sadness

How do you guys cope and continue to be positive for your loved one

Re: Supporting daughter with breast cancer

Hi @Tracey59

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnosis. It is a big shock and a lot to process emotionally when someone you love is diagnosed. The tears and sadness are a normal part of processing a diagnosis and I'm sure others in the community can relate with the waves of big emotions coming over them. How beautiful that your daughter is your best friend.

This booklet can be helpful in understanding the emotions and cancer.

Please also know that you can call Cancer Council on 13 11 20 and speak to a health professional about how you are feeling and discuss support that is available to you.

Perhaps others in the community could share what helped them through their diagonsis or their loved one's diagnosis?

Take care,

Felicity
