Hi everyone,
My wife is 32yrs old, she was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer 8 weeks ago and has had a radical hysterectomy and lymphnodes removed.
She's back in hospital and on a feeding tube due to a bowel obstruction which they are suspecting is a tumour. She also has some lesions on her liver now too.
We are stuck between a rock and a hard place as surgery isn't safe to do until another 5 or so weeks. Chemo is also considered high risk with the bowel not working.
I was wondering if anyone has had experience of chemo with an obstructed bowel? How did it go? Any side effects and were they able to be managed?
Ultimately we are waiting (as always in this journey!) For more test results next week and for her oncologist to come up with a plan.
Love and solidarity with all of you going through this journey ❤️
