chemo

chemo

I had surgery about 3 months ago for colon cancer. I need to get the colostomy fixed in 4 months. The

surgeon said I must take chemotherapy pills first.

From what I have read, chemo is not very useful and just makes you sick.

I told the surgeon I would take it, and I took it today. But I am thinking maybe I should just say I am

taking it. I would rather die than have terrible side effects. I know that chemo is poison.

Colon cancer, if localized, is cured 90% of the time by surgery.

Thanks!

Re: chemo

Hello Phoenix920,

Thank you for reaching out and joining our community.

As you just mentioned chemotherapy can have diverse side effects. You have decided no to  go ahead with chemotherapy and that is ok as it is your personal decision.

My suggestion is to let doctors know you are not taking the chemo tablets as they will follow with any treatment or medication based on the fact that you are taking that particular chemo tablets.

I hope others in this forum would share with you their experience taking or not chemo tablets.

Best wishes

Susana
