DOUBLE CANCER DIAGNOSIS - prostrate and CLL

Hey friends,

Hubby diagnosed...

1. Prostrate Cancer (aggressive/contained). PSA undetectable after prostatectomy 18 months ago. Symptom free.

2. CLL Lukemia 2 months ago after several bloods. Today, haematologist confirmed low grade, Phew! HOWEVER - also reported 1.5cm para aorta lymph enlargement on CT scan done last week.  Haematoligist said she was not concerned but sending hubby off for FISH test anyway but not followup

3. I am concerned. 2 different cancers and an enlarged lymph node??? Eeeeck.

Anyone had this  triple whammy experiece? Am concerned the  lymph node may be related somehow to either cancer, though not sure if the lymph node issue should be solely in the hands of only one of the cancer surgeons.

Thoughts??

Thank you. 🌻

Re: DOUBLE CANCER DIAGNOSIS - prostrate and CLL

Firstly, so sorry for your predicament.

2: as far as I know, IMHO lymphatic organs drain into and from lymph nodes (wife has stage 4+ breast cancer, spread to armpit lymph node, sternum, ribs, lumbar vertebrae) thus;

3: I am no medical professional but I would be insistent on lymphatic node biopsies- better over cautious than cavalier as some oncologists can be.

4. best wishes.
