Hi I'm new to the site and I have NETs

Hi All, I am a 46 year old male from the Mid North Coast of NSW and I am married with 3 children. I was diagnosied a month ago with Neuroendocrine (Carcinoid) Tumours (NETs) to the small intestine. I am still in the process of undergoing tests to find out how far this has spread and I will soon be off to Westmead hospital for a PET Scan. Upon my return from Westmead I will be commencing Octreotide treatment, whilst we work out my surgery options. The past month has certainly been a roller coaster ride, trying to juggle work, tests and doctors/specialists appointments etc. My heart goes out to all those who have either suffered directly or indirectly with any form of Cancer.
