Hi All,
Currently doing chemotherapy and have posted in the other treatment forum, but I just wanted to ask from anyone with experience…..
How do you keep mentally showing up for your next chemotherapy appointment? What do you tell yourself to keep going physically, mentally or emotionally?
I am starting to feel like a mental image, GIF or youtube clip of someone being dragged into the hospital and treatment room by my legs, by the person who drives me to my appointments, trying to grab onto everything around me to anchor myself. Although I’d never voice that out loud. And I feel that stronger every appointment. And I don’t mean this description in any disrespectful way.
Thank you for reading and any feedback.

well.......1st up - don't push yourself, where do you get your treatment done? for me even having stage 4 lung-bone & liver cancer, cancer has a very low priorty on my list of things to do in life, treatment is just another day at the office for me, i wear the same cloths as a uniform, when done i get home, change - clock off & then get on with normal life.
i have plenty of projects to be involved with, a couple done this year is volume 1 of my memour from the time i was born to 1st phase of experimental trials March to May 2026, other project is compiling a recipe book of foods that have some reasonable taste (free to anyone who wants it) as most people know the taste buds go feral with chemo.
Treatment is a social event for me, i do have a dedicated supporter with me, it's good to see the staff and other patients as we have positive conversation about anything and everything. I design my own T Shirts and have them printed with messages on my thoughts and for others to ponder, My 1st shirt quote>> no matter how shit life is - there's always something to be cheerful about - So what's your somthing?
I hope this may help you & i'm always open for a chat......cheers.....Tom the old guy....
