Gastric liver metastasis cancer

Good morning everyone.

Please can someone share some experience with us on lonsurf??

My mother in law has been diagnosed with stage 4 gastric liver metastasis.  It has spread to livers beyond operation.  The whole liver is covered in cancers, which are now merging together. The biggest grew over 2cm in 2 months while on iv chemo. Both capacitabine,  and ramucirumab and paclitaxel failed.  Progression after each session.

Now shenhas been offered lonsurf.

She is weaker compare to last year.  Managing juts 1x shower in 1 week, short small walks, lots of rest, and does not managed to make a simple meal cook for herself.

We think this will destroy even more and faster.  Any opinions?? Thabk you

Re: Gastric liver metastasis cancer

Hello Martina,

Thank you very much for reaching out trying to find some information and words of support.

It is so hard to read what your mother in law is going through right now. This is difficult not only for her but also for all those around her.

I really hope someone in this community will be able to share their experience with you.

I would like to suggest calling our information and support line on 13 11 20, the operators are registered oncologist nurses and could be able to answer some of your questions.

Warm regards

Susana
