How rare is it?

I was told my husband's oesophagus cancer is fairly rare and I wanted to get people's input on it

Just found yr post, and saw there was no replies, you can count me in “the same group” as your hubby.
First diagnosed in late 2011, there are about 1500 people per year diagnosed with EC however not sure how those numbers compare with other cancers.
Wishing you & hubby all the very best, stay strong be strong and fight like hell.
