My mom is mean

My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer 6 months ago. Now she is very mean and says horrible things to us. She tries to leave the house and gets violent.  One minute she will be very scared then hateful then lovey you never know. What is going on please help me I have to take care of her but she is making it impossible.
