Hi Greg,
Well good luck and let us know what happens.
The fear of the unknown is daunting, but be hopeful.
Hugs,
Cindi xx
I'm so sorry to hear your news and I hope you have some good support around you. My cancer is quite different but the anxiety is the same. It's great that you're reaching out to this community but also please reach out to the various agencies such as the Cancer Council and hospital counsellors, as well as your GP. I've been surprised at how much help is out there.
Concentrate on the good things and good people in your life. This journey for you is at the beginning and I hope things will improve for you once you can get past the shock.
hello @JK
I read your story and I'm very sorry , but your attitude is wonderful and will help you, being strong and determined is the best way to handle it.
I'm hoping you wont suffer pain and you never know, you may live with your cancer for a lot longer than you think.
Hope you have people to hug and love you as you deserve it, try to stay positive and I'm sending you a big hug anyway,
Cindi xx
Hi JK, not sure if your message was for me but hello anyway. Im 8 months into my treatment now and there has been progress, but not as much as we were hoping for. So on Monday i have to go in for some more mapping, this time they will be using radiation through beams through a smaller CT attached to my liver on the outside. Not as unpleasant and invasive as the catheter through the groin, but its five treatments done every second day. I will get through this aswell with a positive outlook. Its hard to be positive sometimes though, especially when you feel like crap and always tired. Yes, the Cancer Council community is fantastic. But it is also a sad reality check as there are so many more people worse off than i am. But im lucky i can get to chat with some great people and it has helped me cope for sure. I hope you are going well, take care, Greg xx
Hasnt been going that great Cindi, all been put off due to ilness but had my firsy round of RT today, had a few issues with my breathing on the day of first treatment, but all good now. Getting there. 0412568312 if you ever want to chat or know anyone who wants to talk. I really hope youre doing well. Greg xox
Hi Greg,
I'm doing ok thanks, I make myself go to my gym most days, it really helps me, I still get really tired and my memory's not so good, hoping it all improves though ( think the chemo knocked me around a lot)
Sorry you've had a hard time with your treatment, what happened to your breathing? was that from the
RT ? How often do you have to have it done?
I do hope it gets easier for you. Keep remembering that it's helping you, it's your friend , it's fighting the cancer 😉
Stay strong Greg, XX
