breast cancer diagnosis

Hi new to the community and looking to make connections and be supportive and look for support in a battle of my life. I haven't told my family yet and looking for the right time, but is there a right time to tell them..any thoughts or ideas, I was thinking about writing a letter so I can say all the important things. Re: breast cancer diagnosis

Hi Sonya444

I'm sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis.  Writing a letter can be a good idea, as it lets you get everything out that you want to say in a calm way.  You can amend it and share it when you are ready.  The Cancer Council has some good information regarding speaking to friends and family about a cancer diagnosis.  If you like in Australia, you can reach out to Cancer Council for support by calling 13 11 20.  If you don't live in Australia, you can look for local support or speak to your GP.  It's important that you get emotional support at this time.
