Hi everyone I am new to the online community and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer in September of last year. Like many diagnoses, it was traumatic and turned my world upside down. I was on my way to the airport with my partner and son to visit relatives in the UK when I received a call from my doctor after my ultrasound. She asked if I would, perhaps, consider changing my flight to undergo further testing. In November, I underwent a double mastectomy along with biopsies on both sides, and unfortunately, one of my lymph nodes was involved. I am currently awaiting the results of an Oncotype test before starting chemotherapy or radiation treatment. To be honest, I've only just felt ready to join this community after experiencing so many emotions—starting with numbness, then fear and anger, and often asking myself, "Why me?" This journey is challenging, but I'm also discovering moments of strength I didn't know I had. I'm eager to connect with others and share this journey with those who understand what I'm going through. I would love to hear from you if you'd like to share your experiences or coping strategies. I am located in Brisbane and look forward to chatting with all of you. Thank you for being here, and remember to stay strong, everyone. If you can't, that's okay too! I've had many moments when I've crumbled. Warm regards, Susie
