Hi @Susannah75 , I'm so sorry and understand how you feel, I also had Lobuar breast cancer September 2023, and had bilateral mastectomy as well. I was lucky that mine hadn't quite spread to any lymph nodes, but I was on the breast cancer forum of Australia where many others had breast cancer and were really supportive. If you don't find many here with the same, you would find support there. I've been on Hormone Blockers since then, found Anastrozole to have the least side affects of the three I'd tried. Hope it all goes well for you, My thoughts are with you. Cindi xx

Hi there! I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to check in and see how things have been going for you since your post in October. How did your conversations with family and friends go? I know it can be really challenging to find the right time and words to share such important news. I also understand how scary it can be to receive a first diagnosis and how it can turn your world upside down in ways you may have never experienced or imagined. As for me, I’m relatively new to this online community and have been going through various posts to better understand the experiences people are sharing. It’s been both enlightening and reassuring to see how others are navigating their journeys. I’ve also been managing my own journey with breast cancer. I was diagnosed with lobular cancer in September and had my bilateral mastectomy in November. I’m now waiting for the results of my Oncotype test to determine the next steps—whether chemotherapy or radiation. I’m curious to hear how you’ve been managing your treatment and what support has looked like for you. If you feel comfortable sharing, I’d love to connect more. Take care!
