Hi, I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma(stage 4 brain cancer in July 2020. I have done very well with treatment but I am starting to deteriorate. I have 4 children ages. 16,15,10 and 8. Struggling with how much information to give them wondering if there  are any good resources out there people know of

Re: support for my children

Hi,

I've heard good things about canteen providing support to the children of parents who have cancer.

https://www.canteen.org.au/young-people/parent-carer-cancer

Maybe this is a good place to start.

There is also cancer council's website

https://www.cancercouncil.com.au/news/talking-to-kids-about-cancer/

They have a link to a book that contains information on talking to kids about cancer.

I hope there is something in there that can be helpful for you.

Re: support for my children

Mummy’s wish is an organisation that helped me when I was first diagnosed. They sent books to help

explain cancer to the kids (they were 6 & 8 at the time.
