Brachytherapy

I'm about to undergo brachytherapy for endometrial carcinoma.  I'm a bit apprehensive about it, sounds not so nice.  Wondering what others experiences have been.

Re: Brachytherapy

Well I've had my first treatment and my aprehension was well founded.  It was very uncomfortable and very confronting.  Staff were fabulous but to be honest it just isn't a very pleasant thing.  Anyway if anyone wants to chat about it, I now have some knowledge!

Re: Brachytherapy

Hi, I know this post of yours is old and I am hoping you are well!

I have two rounds of Brachy coming up and I am really apprehensive about it, would you still like to share information?

Thanks 🙂

Re: Brachytherapy

Hi Lyoness, I had 4 rounds of Brachytherapy 3 years ago and it's a bit confronting but not at all painful and with 2 treatments the side effects will be minimal, I had 4 over 2 weeks and at the end had a bit of fatigue for about a week, You will be fine, I have had no recurrence in 3 years so you will be fine. Sending you blessings and love for a full recovery.
