Menopause

Menopause

Particularly in the mornings I'm getting quite a hot feeling on the back, I've mentioned this to my Oncologist & he said he thinks it might be because my ovaries are shutting down due to Menopause, can you suggest anything I can do for it.MMM

Re: Menopause

Hey @debbru, how have you been feeling? Has the hot feeling in your back subsided?

Have you asked your oncologist or looked into whether it's an expected side effect of any of the medications or treatment you may be on right now?

Re: Menopause

It's better than it was, I think it's symptom of Menopause. My hair is starting to grow back, when I take my beanie off because my head feels hot, my back cools down, so I think it's hormone related.

Re: Menopause

I’m in a similar boat! I finished chemo at the end of July and have hot flushes (Im 44 and chemo put me i to early menopause) mainly at night or when I get a little stressed.  I asked my oncologist who advised the only thing that has been proven to help is an antidepressant.
