Side effects of Vemurafenib (Zelboraf) for metastatic melanoma

My friend is on a clinical trial for Vemurafenib (Zelboraf) for metastatic melanoma - a Braf inhibitor. The side effects have been unusually difficult. Does anybody else have experience of this medicine?
