Hi @greg57 , I do hope it all goes well for you and sorry your getting pain around your liver, that's not good. The sooner you can start treatment the better so you can get on the road to recovery, which I really feel you will. Of course you must be a bit stressed, nobody likes having treatment, but think of it as the "good" medicine as it fights the cancer 😉 I've been going to my gym a lot and trying to build up my strength slowly, but have just found out I have another infection so guess the gyms out for a few days. I'm worried about it traveling to my one & only kidney. Hopefully things will end up ok, and also with you, we all just have to stay strong and keep fighting. xxoo ... View more

Hi @Jennifer66 , You're a sweet heart, thank you. I do like your attitude , wish I was more like you. Unfortunately today I found out I have another bladder infection ( I've been getting a few) and it's resistant to the antibiotics I can take, last one I had I had to go to hospital and got onto one that wouldn't damage my kidney,but after a couple of days I got hives all over me! I can't have penicillin so now also cant have the special antibiotic Nitrofurantoin BNM, so don't know what I'll do, I'm now waiting on a call  from my oncologist nurse. It's very frustrating, but I have to be careful only having one kidney, as getting the infection traveling to there wouldn't be good. I'll try to think like you and not stress. Hi Greg, Oh I'm sorry. Yes it sounds horrible, waiting that long must have been torture. I just don't understand why they made you wait so long, really unfair. Hope the injection site has settled down now as well, yes you definitely had a rough day, but it's over now, just look forwards now, things will get better, you have to get through all this, so you can have a wonderful life in the future. You have friends here who understand and we support you. Yes it can be frustrating and unfair, but you need to push yourself, try to be patient, and stick at it. Do you read at all? I like to take a Kindle reader with me to appointments, read something good, makes the time go quicker ( it's what I do on the treadmill at my gym so the time goes quicker) anyway just thought that may help. Hi Greg, Sorry I haven't been talked for a while, time seems to gallop away from me. I'm so sorry to hear about your back it sounds horrible, that on top of everything else. Did they say they can do anything to help the back problems? That's good you're going to have the TACE treatment, you have to fight this thing, don't loose hope, just push on you'll get through it all, lets keep in contact, lets fight it together, there's probably lots of others out there in your position going through the same treatment, hopefully some will get on this forum. I've been ok , still trying to get my strength back and I seem to be getting a few infections in my bladder for some reason and recently had a bad one that was resistant to most antibiotics, eventually found one that would work but after a few days I got allergic and had hives all over me🙄 but I'd had it for enough days to kill it luckily, but it's a constant worry , I drink as much water as I can as I'm trying to protect my one remaining kidney. I go to my gym as often as I can and slowly building up my strength again, but very slowly.
