Hi Silly How is your weight going? I have not managed to lose any weight over the last few months but at least I have not put any more on. Yesterday I told my counsellor that this extra weight made me feel sad. She reassured me that I didn't look as if I had gained weight. Meaning that she didn't think I should feel sad. Thanks Glenys. Talking to the counsellor yesterday helped and I am going back next week. She said now is not the moment to go off the anti-depressants but she was encouraging that they are not as hard to taper off as the internet people were suggesting. Thanks Glenys, I'll look it up. I want to get off the Pristiq but it has strict instructions not to stop taking it abruptly. I googled how to wean myself off but the internet is full of people saying what a nightmare it is wean off. So, that's just great. That's good you're sleeping better and have been swimming. I went to the pool this evening and it is really good as you get exercise and also feel more relaxed. Was the group at Breacan for people whose cancer was longer ago? That's seems weird. Hopefully they will have another group you can go to. ... View more

I've got 4 sisters as well. Two of them I am very close with and two I hardly see. When I was diagnosed my eldest sister was really concerned about it possibly running in the family. She was surprised that it wasn't the first thing the others thought of when they were told. I found it very annoying. But then she got a mammogram and it turned out she had breast cancer too. So I guess she was right to be worried. Your family sound like they are all very busy. I try to be understanding with my family when they aren't as supportive as I would like but sometimes I feel hurt as well. I think sometimes my mum doesn't know what to say.
