Oh honey, you poor darling. Life can be so very cruel. Losing both parents by your age is terribly sad & unfair 😞 My Dad lost both his parents by the time he was 16, yeah life is so cruel sometimes.
My Mum is like my best friend too and we talk about anything & everything, I understand that bond & the pain when that is taken away from you. What a blessing your Mum knew your little girl and I'm sure will look over her & you forever. I'm really believe that.
You could keep your Mothers memory really alive for your daughter with photos and stories etc so that she grows up feeling like she really knew her Grandma?
I'm sorry your brother and you aren't able to get comfort from each other, that's difficult. Do you have a partner? Close friends? who you can lean on and talk to (apart from talking to us which of course you can always do!)?? I have a friend who lost his Mum to cancer and understands so well what I'm going through. Even perhaps a support group may be helpful for you?
If you're not ready to return to work, then don't (if you don't have to) ... and try and do something nice for YOU, sometimes just simple things can lift my spirits, like taking my pups to the beach and playing in the water with them and feeling invigorated by the salt air and water.
I also have an illness that is debilitating and I haven't had kids and I want to (when/if I meet the right guy) but I'm scared of how I would cope with a baby and this illness .... so I can empathise with that and now without your Mums physical support (because I'm sure she's still emotionally there with you!) ... is there anyone else who can help you?
Wish I could make you a nice hot chocolate, plop you on the couch with a warm blankie, your fave movie and some chocolate (((hugs)))

Absolutely NO doubt it's unfair (((Just Me))) .... it's not fair at all. I truly hope your beautiful Mum has found peace and that you can find the same. I think it's really important to talk about how you feel, I find it helpful to let it all out (the good, the bad & the fugly!) ...... I wish I could be of more help/comfort to you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I can only imagine how you feel right now and my heart goes out to you. I am absolutely doing all I can to make the most of the time I have with my darling Dad and keep the lines of communication well & truly open.
It's heartbreaking seeing a loved one suffer and I guess the only solace in them passing is that they suffer pain no longer.
Lots of hugs

Hi sweet Di
How are you feeling post chemo?
Dad had his 3rd chemo on Thursday. I just spoke to him and he's having a bad morning with his arrhythmia and is still in bed so I told him to go back to sleep. He's there alone which freaks me out but he says his g/f will be there later. I'm going down end of this week for a week.
Lovely news, I've been asked to be God Mother to my darling nephew! I'm so thrilled about that, what an honour, I adore that little boy :)
Yeah the travelling really does wear thin Di. How I wish Dad was closer. I suffer from chronic pain and the travelling tends to flare things up a bit, catch 22 situation really.
Anyhoo, I think of you often Di and do hope you're doing ok!
((((huggles)))

Thank you so much Di and PrayingToBeAnswered ((hugs))
I've been a bit slack on here lately, things got so overwhelming. I did get sick with a virus that prevented me from seeing Dad and taking him to that chemo treatment. I was able to get down to him about 5 days after that. He is doing really well and feels the chemo (& complementary medicine/acupuncture) is helping. His pain has reduced and his main side effect from the chemo is tiredness but apart from that he feels pretty good. He's eating well, still not gaining weight but eating well is a good thing. He has good colour and in a pretty good frame of mind, so good to see :)
PrayingToBeAnswered, I will have a look for your threads so I know your 'story' (((hugs)))
How are you this week Di? How's bubby Bailey?

Heya Di
Thanks for checking in, lovely to hear from you. I'm a big fan of the Facebook games for chilling/zoning out, my latest fave is Cityville!
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get down to Dad yet this week as I have a confirmed "viral infection", virus in other words and as I'm sure you know I can't be anywhere near Dad with a virus. He is having his next chemo tomorrow morning (Friday). His brother in law (my Uncle) is taking him. I was all packed up ready to go and my glands etc flared up again and doc said nope you're still sick :(
Anyway, so I'm laying low to get better and get down to Dad as soon as I safely can. He has 2 sisters, a bro in law and a brother and sis in law in his town at the moment who are all there if he needs anything. I'm disappointed I won't be there with Dad for his chemo tomorrow but it can't be changed and he's in good hands :)
How are you feeling Di? Did you have a nice time with your family?

Oh that's lovely Di, I hope you really enjoy your time with your daughter, SIL and g/kids and yep teens will certainly keep you on your toes haha! Wonderful to hear you're feeling a bit better too, I'm sure you treasure every little moment of feeling better.
I'm going to the docs tomorrow as I feel worse and no doubt stress isn't helping, because I'm really stressed out that if I have a virus or something I can't go down to be with Dad whilst I'm sick and that will mean my bro & sil and bub will have to go down again ... and ... and ... breathe - I'll go to the doc then deal with it then. Yep I'm a stress head!
Lots of hugs Di
