Dear Wombat, My mother, sisters, and brother and families are not talking or ringing us up from WA. I have been told to step back as they are scared rabbits, want to shield themselves - hows that? When in WA last year in June/July they didn't chat about the experience that I went through at all with 2 lots of surgery. My mother didn't want to sit down with me to chat about what I went through and I am disgusted with her as my mother so what kind of mum do I have. I was over there for a month. veges are the most satisfying meal that I enjoy as they are great and easy to cook. I do about 8 types in one pot and have a stew like meal as this is cheap on gas etc. brassels spouts are the best vege as I love them too. Having veges every day is good for you. Wombat I wish I knew where you get your 10k brassels spouts so cheap. I know how it would be like to be scared as I had breast cancer in 2010 with having two lots of surgery. Lump out and a mastectomy on the right breast. My story is on line. It would be very hard to have the cancer terminal and I am not in this situation but hang in there. It is so mad and sad to lose all your friends over it as they don't understand. I agree with both of you as it is a rough time ahead. How did he get into this situation also? Didn't he go to the GP sooner. It would have been great to do it to have it in the early stages. How will you cope with emotions too? I live in Victoria so I want to ask if you do too or interstate so maybe I can help you. You have a lot on your plate you poor thing. If you are in Victoria the Queen Victoria in the city have a Woman's Centre and it is in the same place in Lansdale St. They are open 3 days a week for 4 hours at a time. 10am to 2pm Monday Wednesday and Thursday. I mean it's my family who are ignoring me. My mother, 5 sisters and 1 brother who all have family themselves that don't know how to care. My mother I spoke to her on the phone on the first day of this year and never since have I spoke to her. I rang her on her birthday the 13th of march 2012 and she said that she was going out and never returned my phone call. Commnications are DEAD. They want personal space from when I went over to WA in June of last year. Mum said shut up to me 3 times. My sister Julie said that she doesn't know what she would know about the mastectomy if she had one. Where does this leave me? Women don't know about this surgery till they have it themselves. hell, poor thing and for him to have bowl cancer at 29 and it shows how people do react towards us if they don't understand or they are so strongly ignorent. It is so mad for them to not turn to us when we have the diagnoses. They would need compassion soon in their lives. Yes it can knock on any door. It's ashame to have them shun or ridicule and not show any compassion. I have a friend whose first wife died of advanced breast cancer and only 39 years old with young kids. His second wife says to me that the night mare is over so this means the surgery is over. She hasn't had any surgery like this but she is a midwife and she has done studies on mastectomies on these types of surgery. Anyone who thinks they can understand without having a diagnoses of breast cancer think they know everything. I have a good result so I haven't got anything to worry about.
