Hi purpleangel, My son is on Dex for a GBM brain tumor and many other drugs, but yeah the Dex is the crazy drug, he went phscotic 2 weeks ago so they dropped it to half the dose, they indroduced ENDEPT to help him slow down and sleep, now he is on 1 Dex in the morning, 2 Endept at night and 1 Endept in the morning, takes awhile for the Dex to leave their system so have to wait a couple of days to see if it is going to work, if he starts headaches we will just have to grin and bear it, coud they give your hubby some relaxents for him to sleep. I understand Smiley, it affects all involved, I watch my son and think "has there been a change in him in the last week", "when is it going to come back", its the unanswered questions that nobody can tell me that is so hard. Hi peanutz, I find the researching a friend even though it shows you how aggressive this cancer is, but I feel I deal with anything if I know and understand what I am facing rather than be ignorant. It is so much easier to speak with Docs and such if you know what you are talking about, and who knows maybe down the track we maybe able to use our knowledge to help others going through what we are. Hi Michelle, I have a son with GBM diagnosed last Dec, prior he had gr3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma, been operated 2 times now, just waiting for it to raise its ugly head which it will I believe soon. My son believes he will be here in another 50 yrs and we let him think that, agree with your dad that he can go back to work as he wont be able to but he needs to hang on to that belief. That is the only thread of hope they have.
