Hello Stacey, I agree about the Pico Prep. Actually I don't mind the taste though it is yucky to drink knowing what happens next. I had a shock last year when I bought mine from the chemist, they sold me a packet of 3 and I thought that I was expected to take it all. Thank goodness only 2, whew!!!! I still have to sort out what to do on the day when you take the prep. My doctor suggested that I sit on the toilet all day doing mny puzzles. Now wouldn't that be a lovely thought....... Any suggestions on how to handle the day would be appreciated, as I have to have one every 12 months there must be a solution. ... View more

Hello, I agree with the above messages. This is a great site to meet new people and chat. I really believe that if you have something bothering you about anything, there is sure to be someone that has been there before, so you can share your thoughts and ideas. I also found too, that if you want to actually talk to someone the help line is very good. I had something bothering me, and so made the phone call and the lady on the other end of the line was so reassuring, even offered to call back in a few week's time. Hello everyone, Hope that you all had a lovely christmas and that 2009 will be a great, happy, healthy year, with many more to follow. It amazes me that you can all remember the names of all your treatments. When it was explained to me about the radiation, I tried to take in all the details, but gosh, I don't think that I could remember everything in so much detail, but then maybe I could because it was affecting me. Does that make sense? You only seem to understand what is affecting yourself. Anyhow, Tom & I are going away for 6 days in January down to Batemans Bay. We bought a caravan from a friend a few months back and Tom has renovated it . We will be back for only a few days and then I go back to Westmead for another procedure. You see, I now have stress bladder incontinence and the doctor is going to place a "sling" in to try to help control my bladder. I have my supply of suduko and crosswords to do while I am in there. Also received as a gift a book, it is a  true story on an autistic boy. Our grandson has autism and I started to read this book a few weeks ago, and gee, you would have thought I was reading about him. I decided to stop reading it then and thought it would make for interesting reading while in hospital. Anyhow, all the best everyone. Well done on getting a job, sometimes it is so hard to find one that we like. I was fortunate when I was working that I only worked for one company from when I left school to retirement. I had left a few times from there over the 40 odd years, but kept going back. My husband and I are heavily involved with volunteering with our local junior rugby league district club - Panthers. Have been volunteering for the last 24 years. Yesterday we spent 12 hours at our office!!!!!!. Over the next few days it will be busy as our season has just finished. I agree. Until I was told I had uterine cancer, I hadn't heard of it. Cervical and Breast Cancers yes, but there is a whole more that women can get, just look at this forum. I was told that with uterine cancer it cannot be detected by a pap smear. By the way, it is good to see a lot more ladies posting messages on here now.     ... View more
