Hi Joshr, Glad to hear that your dad has decided to try the ensure route. Hopefully he keeps taking it. Your lucky that your Mom is involved with the process. My mother unfortunately is very sick herself. She had throat cancer and had to have a total laryngectomy. (Which is the removal of the vocal cords and blockage in the the throat for breathing purposes) And she cannot handle the strain of taking care of my dad. At the moment it is 4am and I'm waiting on a call back from my brother who is at the hospital because my fathers behavior was aggressive tonight. The hospital called my brother to see if my brothers presence would help calm him down. He was very agitated for some reason and the nurses did not want him to leave. (My father is a smoker...and cannot smoke in the hospital...therefore he has to go outside to smoke.
