My sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago, but she only just told me about it. She had surgery a couple of days ago. I want to mail her a care package or something to show support and encouragement. Any ideas for what might be appropriate for her situation? I understand she’s been working from home over the past few months, mostly because she lost her hair and hasn’t been feeling well. I was thinking of sending her an assortment of hats or bandanas - but then I second-guessed myself, wondering if that might come off as insensitive. I'm really not sure what’s best.
