Hi Chris,
Wow how insensitive of some people, 12 weeks is not very long in the grieving process at all. I lost my Dad to cancer last year. I think after 3 months I was still trying to come to terms with the fact that he was actually gone. It takes alot of time and everyone grieves differently. Please give yourself time, much more time and know whatever you feel, its probably normal.
If you feel overwhelmed, talk to your GP.
Deepest condolences to you.

Thanks Daniel,
You made me laugh out loud with the comment how much is a new one.. Love it.
I went in to start my last (6th) cycle of chemo today , but my HB levels are really low and I need to have 2 units of blood tomorrow. so back in again and then thursday back again for my chemo. The upside is I have 2 days off chemo, so no 5FU bottle attached at the moment.
I am coming off the steroids as well , been on too long I think. about 3 months on low dose. drop down to 0.5mg for the next week and then off altogether. and then just see how it goes. I think my legs are a smidgen better since I halved the dose last week, so here's looking forward to better days ahead.
To Doug,
christmas can be tough when we are very sick. Keep up with the piano and christmas carols.
Cheers to all

Hi Maddie, Its a tough part of the situation. People dont know what to do I guess and so they throw up the barriers. Doesnt excuse them, but it seem to happen alot.
Concentrate on the friends that do help and stick around. Have you had some counselling yourself or got someone to talk to, as well as for your bf.
Keep your chin up and Merry Christmas to your family.
Cheer Vicki

Hi Willow,
So glad you wrote and told us you are home and getting some help. Glad to hear the op might not be neccessary as well.
People do care if you give them a chance. Some dont know how, and some just wait for you to reach out to them. We have to ask first. Counselling lines are there for us.
Take care and as craftyone says, think of yourself first and what you want, thats not being selfish. And share here anytime.
I hope your days get better.
Cheers

I am not going to bore everyone with every photo I take in this diary, but I have to tell you I got a terrific one today. and only day 4 LOL. My husband has been doing the grocery shopping for the last few months, prior to that you could count on one hand the amount of times he ever set foot in the supermarket. He has done a wonderful job but he really doesn't like it. I felt a little more energy today so I said I will come with you and get some extra stuff.. I got a photo of him going through the checkout with the trolley. PROOF hahahahahaha. This is a photo to be really treasured.
Thanks S. I have a reflexologist in town and I was also going to try Reiki.
Cheers Vicki
