Breast reconstruction. Looking for comments from people who have had breast reconstruction after mastectomy as l am in process of trying to decide. Am 46 and diagnosed in 2009 with breast cancer. Married with 3 kids 11,8 and 6. Already had left mastectomy, chemo and radiation and in process of discussion about having right breast taken off also as proventative and both breasts reconstructed at that time. Sister passed away 8 years ago aged 42 from breast cancer and mother and 5 aunties have also been diagnosed in the past. Would need to have tissue taken from inner thigh as nonee other available and left breast tissue damaged from radiation. Then implants to be used.
