Hi Jozmaye,
Sorry to hear about your mum. I suppose survival outcome is always different for everyone, depending on staging, and liver condition/response to the treatment. Both TACE and RFA are effective in increasing survival but is not usually considered a 'curative' procedure. They are usually the best option if surgery or transplant is not possible. I've heard of another promising internal radiation treatment Yttrium that has proved successful in increasing survival rates in recent years. In my case, my father was diagnosed with unresectable liver cancer just over 2 years ago. He underwent one cycle of TACE and RFA, had stable condition for much of the last 2 years until recently. The problem with TACE and RFA is that they are invasive and increases the risk of tumor seeding and metastasis. Make sure you find a hospital that has the expertise in this procedure.
Not heard of Typhonium Flagelliforme. My dad is on the Gerson therapy which also relies on a similar vegan diet. Tough but it appears to have helped.
Keep me updated on your mum if you don't mind. Let me know if there's anything I can help.
Vincent
