Well I am 47 and female and was 45 when diagnosed and that is why it took so long to diagnose as we don't fit the statistics as we are supposed to be male and late 60's. I had been going to the doctors for 3 months before being diagnosed and even then I had to go to another GP in desperation as the first wasn't listening to me despite me losing 16 kgs in weight in a short space of time.
