Ms Jan - have you tried traditional chinese medecine at all? My husband's conditions gave him sores on his hands and feet - he was not using Capecetabine, but was taking so many medications it was hard for him to keep track. Let alone myself! Maybe have a look at something called Solanum Incanum - its a chinese herbs from Taiwan that has been used there for 10 years successfully to treat cancers and chemotherapy cases. Worth a shot. My husband recovered very fast from his chemo, gave him energy and smiling back which was priceless. Let me know if you have any questions I might be able to help.

Hi - my husband complained of pains and numbness in his fingers and hands - the doctor said it was nerve damage and may not recover. We tried creams and different types of therapy. He even went and learned Chi Gong which helped a lot.
He took some Chinese Herbs - Solanum Incanum was one, Astragalus was another we bought from Taiwan that clered up his pain and the feeling came back. Check out www.Emperor-Herbs.com and have a read we had tried so many things it was a case of what's to lose?

have you tried Chinese Herbs - we know a few people who have tried these and they helped bring more energy, reduce pain and improve mood a lot as well as help the skin regenerate faster. Make sure you read about them first though they may not be everyone's cup of tea!

The idea of a health retreat sounds amazing! I've heard that Chi Gong or Qigong is amazing for circulation and wellbeing as well.

My husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer at 51. It devastated our family. We have spent the past 3 years researching alternative therapies and discovered one from Taiwan called Solanum Incanum - have you heard of anyone taking this Chinese herb before?
After one month of these herbal capsules he said he actually feels much better, more energy, not getting sick much anymore but we are still trying to work out whether it has any side effects - would apreciate if anyone has heard of it, or knows anyone who has used it. In Taiwan they use it for different cancers and have received quite a lot of good feedback but it seems unknown outside of Taiwan. Thanks.

JJ - have you done much research on Chinese herbal medicines? It is not everyone's cup of tea but my husband seems to be recovering very well after taking a special combination of herbs we bought from Taiwan. We have tried so many different therapies over the past 3 years - but you can never give up hope! Good luck x
