Hi Steve it was good to hear from you, and you have sold your house to be near your family to  get their support when needed and working even if it is only a few hours a day it all helps to fill in time and you have an income. As you know I have retired, the grandchildren keep me busy and I look forward to the weekends to watch them play sport . I just had my checkup and scans done My Oncologist says I have 3 spots on my Lungs and a spot on my stomach I he said they stable and no changes noted .  So next time I see him in 6 months I hope things have not change otherwise Treatment may have to commence.?. It gives me heart to know your kidney was taken out well  before mine in 2015 and different drugs can work to keep us on this wonderful earth. Hi Steve I noticed blog is from May 2018 I hope you are ok thats a long time ago and probably alot has happened since then. It is very hard to face each day I find but you just do it I get very annoyed with myself when I forget things point blank this comes with rc you had your kidney removed 2008 and mine was 2015 all we can do is put up a fight as long as we can Good Luck Steve. Thankyou Budgie for that information on the side effects of those drugs I wonder how many people with kidney cancer decide taking these drugs is all to hard and give up, I suppose you live longer if you take them I will have to wait and see I am 71 years old and think whatever happens I have lived longer then some other people with cancer lets hope they discover a cure soon.                                                                                                             Is there a reason you are moving to Melbourne you are going the wrong direction if you want the warmer weather,  it is another nice day again today , my husband has gone fishing with a mate so it would be nice if he catches one .                                                                                                                                                                                                 I am playing bowls tomorrow in the club mixed pairs Championships it will be a tough game but I will do my best usually I am exhausted after 18 ends with all the concentrating you have to do but I am still around and enjoying my bowls so hope it is a nice day and we win. Hi Budgie  How are things going with you hope they are good. I was just sitting here in the sun and thought I would catch up with you again I am waiting for my husband to return home from his game of golf so sitting here is so good. I was so thrilled to hear you are going to be a Grandmother again you must be so excited to have a baby in the family does you daughter live near you so you get to give bub lots of cuddles and kisses unfortunately there are no more grandchildren for me next will be great grandchildren and that won't be happening for a while. I am waiting for the 3 months to have my next scan to see if there are any changes to the spot they found on my spine so that will happen the second week in August untill then life goes on I dont like what I'm hearing about all the side effects of these drugs I may have to take can you tell me which drug you are taking or have been taking has the worst side effect and what it does to your everyday life how sick do you feel  because I can't beleive all that I read so I know you are living this and I hope you don't mind me asking if you don't want to answer I understand untill next time take care till next time  Annette 46 ... I am so sorry about your husband and his situation . We who have kidney cancer hope for a cure soon it is not one of the commom cancers and if he was like me I did not know that  I had it I was lucky they got it all when they operated nearly 3 years ago but the last nuclear bone scan shows it could be in my spine.  Does your husband go to the Mather in Newcastle to see the oncologist The Cancel Council may be able to give him some help there or see a councilor anyhow,. Hi Budgie Im sorry I have not been in contact with you lately  but I have been thinking of you lots and wondering how you are coping with you health and the drugs, do you have to take Cabozantnib every day?  I hope it is still helping and you and you have found relief  for the pain I really hope you are ok . We have had alot of rain up our way the last 2 weeks but today is beautifull and sunny so hubby and I went for a walk along the water and ots of other people thought it was a good idea also., it was really nice .  Have you been doing anything special ? the year is going so quickly and my grandchildren are getting older ir is it just me that is getting old who knows thats all for now . Hi Budgie It can get cold down your way I am up near Newcastle it is a beautifull day up here again today, hope to be going to watch my 9 year old grand daughter play soccer this afternoon because I think I will do all these things while I can, as we don't know what the future holds do we. So sorry you are in pain can you take any pain killers and are you still on Cabozantnib do you think it is working . I seem to be in limbo at the moment waiting for another bone scan to see if I have mestatic in my spine the only other way is to have an operation to remove that part of my spine and put a rod in my back also 10percent chance I could die not a nice thought is it . I have arthritis in neck, knees, spine so they say take Panadol getting old has it challenges and kidney cancer is no fun at all just have to keep our chins up and think there is someone worse of than me. I had a lovely Mothers Day had lunch with my son,his wife and 3 grandchildren my daughter was in Tasmania on holidays.  How many children do you have do they live close to you ? Hi Steve I I am so sorry about your cancer and  feeling so depressed our cancer journey is no fun at all , I agree with Budgie get in touch with the Cancer Council . Do you have any children and grandchildren living near you that you could visit I look forward to the weekends I like following the grandchildren playing sport and attending their school activities and I love playing lawn bowls and lots of walks. I looked up on google where Littlehampton was in SA as I have never heard of it sounds like a lovely place in the Adelaide Hills  amongst   the wineries  are you able to take a drive to these places I bet the country side is beautiful . Having a dog for company  is a wonderful idea and he will listen to your problems , sometimes I think they understand what we are saying. Hi Budgie  iI have just been for my walk it is such a beautiful Autum day here and the Lake is like glass . I have 4 grandsons and 1 grand daughter and I really do spoil her she is only 9 years old, well that is what Grandmothers are there for , allways nice things to buy her.
