Hair regrowth post chemo

I am 6 months post chemo for Breast Cancer  -  I had to stop chemo three quarters of the way through due to nerve damage in hands and feet.   However my problem is my hair has grown back completely opposite to what is was pre chemo.  It looks like a bad perm and I'm wondering if I shave it off agin - will it grow back differently?
