Hi Lisy, I wore a face mask in the supermarket a couple of weeks ago, even though I wasn't sick. I asked my oncology nurses last monday , when I had chemo, if it was necessary to wear one. They said not really . I was surprised that none of them were wearing masks either. Bit of conflicting information ! I am in the same boat, but I am not going to let any doctor tell me how long I have to Live ! I try and keep up exercise and mentally that has kept me going. You are not alone and there are many different treatments coming through now on the pbs , which is always hopeful. Stay positive .
