Hello Nicole Absolutely explode away! You deserve it. Wow what a load you are carrying. You seem to be doing so well with your load and your strength in your ability to cope is feeding that as I see it but we are all vessels and at some stage a vessel can become empty. Hence I do hope that at some point you are doing some things that nurture you. It is really important for you to take that time for yourself if you want to maintain your strong self. I feel for you. My partner has stage 4 rectal cancer and we dont know from kne week to the next if he will be around much longer. He has fought it for 5 and half years and is still going. It metastisized to the lymph and liver and he has had so many chemo doses that he has been in hospital twice now with UTI's which really knocked him about. Yeh, as you say Nicole, it sucks. Good on you for 'exploding' Ha! We all need to do that when under such emotional strain. Glassfull

Oh Suncatcher I hear you. I am very aware of the anger being directed at the loved one/ carer. My partner is stage 4 colorectal cancer metastasized. As a result of the original op when the tumour was removed, he now does not have much rectum hence he has little control of his toilet. The story is long so I won't go on but the anger directed at me and mates is so bad sometimes that I have to walk away. I have learned that I HAVE to involve myself in some things that nurture me e.g music or motor bike riding. So be strong and take care of yourself.

Hello Have been caring for a stoic brave soul for 5 1/2 years. He has stage 4 rectal cancer and has had most of the rectum removed. His cancer has spread to the liver and some lymph areas and he is still on fortnightly chemo because of this. And he still fights on. His main issue is (besides the horrendous side effects of chemo) he can't control his toilet most of the time hence does not get quality sleep. It does not seem to matter what he eats, when he eats, it rushes through him or he binds up. This is wearing him out and tearing me apart watching helplessly. I know this sounds impossible, but does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to help him? At the least get some proper sleep. Thank you
