Hello. I’m new to this this page. My loving partner was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years ago. Luckily with his determination and the medical teams he survived, even though he was told he wouldn’t see xmas 2017. For this I am truly thankful & grateful. It is now 18mths post cancer and my partner seems to be in great health & moving forward. However, I feel I don’t know enough about his cancer, post cancer and how to be the best supportive partner. My partner has explained what he has been through, this has been tough on him as I don’t fully understand lots of the terminologies. To his credit he continues & has helped myself obtain some literature from his Cancer Unit & the Cancer Council booklets. I notice that when he tries to explain his cancer to me that it is quite emotional for him, I wish to move forward with him whilst looking forward to many years of cancer free happiness & enjoying life. I want to be the best supportive spouse I can be, and I’d like to speak to other supporting spouses so I can better understand from a spouse’s side of assisting my partner in his remission so I can support him 110%
