As a survivor, I find it facinating that the ladyrinth journey for you is so similar im essence to my own. At least your/my perception of it.
Given me something to ponder.

Just caught up with this guys.
Firstly Teach, how on earth were you able to concentrate on something so intrinsically boring as Interactive Digital Media on your PD day? I have enough trouble with all of that stuff at my age on a good day. So well done there!
Secondly, I had a session with a counsellor yesterday and one of the things she left me to ponder is how we like to control what's happening in our lives and that when we get cancer we lose that control to some (or quite a significant) extent. Hence the difficulty in coping at times. ( Me in particular at the moment - but that's another story). She gave it a name but I forget what she said. Somehting about dissonance and disorder.
Thirdly, Disneyland sounds wonderful. The dollar is good. I went to New York last year.
Seriously, I hope all goes well next week. Thinking of you.

Joanna,
You have so much to deal with.
The picc line is done with a local and is no big deal. I had mine in for 6 months with no effects except a little skin irrtitation. Much easier than poking and prodding for dodgy veins.
My thoughts are with you with are you are dealing with at the moment. Lots of hugs.

Hi,
Yes the neuropathy seems to get worse before it gets better so tell Rob to hang in there.
I aeem to be 2 years ahead of Rob and Cats so if I can be any help let me know. As cliched as it sounds, I have been there and the last rounds are really tough.
My other piece of advice is to maybe talk to someone when it does finish. I was one of those people who while so grateful that the sickness and fatigue was over, also felt very afraid of what to do next.
Versaillon, you seem to be so perceptive of the pain and anxiety of Rob that know you may well do this if he wants it. I wish that a greater fuss had been made of me when I had the final all clear scan and the picc line was taken out. (I hated that bloody thing in my arm). All we did was go home. I would really have loved a celebration of some kind. Rob may be different.
Any way - really glad that you are on the final stretch of this part.

Well done! Fight them at their own game.
My husband used to ride bikes and it was such a bloke thing. They used to ride somewhere and then get off and look at the bike - not the view, the bike. Huh??
I know this may sound like caving in to pressure but do you have a blokey/bikey male friend that can go with you to the bike shop?
Keep going, Samex

Those who haven't been there don't understand the pebble in the pond effect of this disease.
My heart goes out to you and your kids.
Sorry don't know what else to say. Please take a hug instead.
