Hi Jane, wonderful and inspiring blog. It is very real and as a daughter and now carer of my Mum who has recently been given the news that she does not have long to go - but how long , nobody can tell us- the collective experience of going through treatment, from a non english speaking background, getting to live the routine with my Mum (end stage lung cancer) and Dad (who has early stage dementia), your words resonate on many different levels. On the emotional, physical and spiritual levels where she literally only turns to me to live the experience with her. So I now feel like we all have cancer and try every day to do the best we can to inspire one another in a bubble of positivity, which at any time could burst:) But-with many new hats, many opportunities have emerged to create new memories: In addition to the daughter, I am now the carer, the companion, the counsellor, the Priest, the Masterchef, the exercise guru, podiatrist, the breath master, the house cleaner, the shopper, the uberdriver, the fashionista and Master of mindfulness:)
