I am over this not feeling well thing! I shouldnt whinge i know but i am. I am just sick of not feeling ok enough to do what i want and need to do!! Sorry folks just had to get that one off my chest. Up side of it is i got to educate a baby doctor on not using the word positive with cancer patients. haha Actually when i explained how it makes a cancer sufferer feel, he could see the merit in not using that particular word. hugss to everyone that has had the bug and those that havent best stay away cos i am contagious! Hi Julie, You know that this is the right place yo have a whinge and shingles is as good a reason as any! I didn't know that shingles was contagious. Thought it was an off shoot of chicken pox? Glad you were able to educate the doctor. Well done!! Hang in there, S

Poor Jules - shingles, from what I have heard is a bugger - just be nice and kind to yourself and I hope they are not too painful. My Mum had them across her breasts and my Grandad had them across his forehead - this was many many moons ago. I loved your reference to the 'baby' doctor - I look at some of them and think Yep old enough to be his/her mother and they are going to tell me what to do!!mmmm I love this site, I think I've been fairly restrained in my blog and expressive writing - another way of saying I haven't totally let loose and become feral!! As I say that - I'm going to have a grizzle - I feel sick, I don't feel like doing anything but sleeping; my home looks like a bomb has hit it, still haven't put away lots of presents - half I've forgotten what they are! I feel really lazy and guilty because there is so much I want to do- not necessarily have to- and I really can't get motivated and I still feel sick! My little darlings are asleep- one next to me, the other on my bed - yes you got it cat on bed dog on floor.Oh bugger it, if they can, then so can I- they're not worried about the place being untidy, just as long as they get fed - selfish brats! Well once again take good care of yourself and (don't yell at me)- be posit.....

Hey Cats I feel guilty for whinging about shingles. They are curable and yet they are just another thing thats sent to drag me down a little further. I know in a couple of days i will feel better and hopefully start to regain some of this lost energy. My shingles are spreading everywhere and thats not really very normal i dont think. They normally cluster, well i am getting clusters all over and i am sure its to do with all the treatment i have endured this past 5 months. I am grateful for having the treatment but it surely comes with a price attached. You have the most important things with you ... your cats!! I am sorry to hear you are feeling sick. Have you been to see someone about that? I know there is a lot they can do for people re nausea these days. I can relate to the bomb hitting the house bit. I have been chasing my tail since i have been home. I dont have the energy to do a whole job at once and so i do partial here - there and everywhere. Now i have all these half jobs done. Nothing drastic really, just things like cleaning out drawers and cupboards and yet it is annoying me. I should really adapt how i attack things and i would help myself. Awww this baby doctor was very cute and yes, young and yet he was lovely. He had a great attitude and providing he keeps that he is going to be a fantastic doctor i am sure. Yanno, maybe cats have the right idea!! Perhaps we need to learn tto be a bit selfish 😉 ... it will never happen. lol Thanks Julie

Poor Jules.....shingles what a bugger... you are entitled to a whinge.... make that a big whinge. And Cats.... staying in bed is a wise choice... follow your cat’s lead.... they wrote the book on finding comfortable places to relax. You both deserve some really long “selfish time”! If you were in Sydney, I would gladly help with your household chores. I look at this way....dust can accumulate.... take-away meals can be ordered... dig deep into your wardrobe for that last piece of clothing before tackling the washing... your health and well being are far more important. To you both, take care. Luv Reindeer xx

Thanks reindeer!! I have rather a severe case by all accounts. The shingles is spreading far and wide. Hopefully these tablets will kick in soon. I have explained to my son that this is causing me to feel more tired and he has stepped things up another notch, so thats a good thing. He helped to make his bed. lol No, seriously he has been good and is helping out far more. Cats, i think we both should stay in bed!! Luv to you too reindeer and thank you. Julie
