18 months ago or therabouts I was diagnosed with a nasty naso-pharyngeal carcinoma, prognosis, well no one would say much other than may be 2 years was mentioned as a norm. Here it is now 18 months, 4 surgeries, 6 1/2 weeks radiation, more pills and medications than I can count later and my latest surgery/biopsy reveals "no cancer cells found". YEAH!! My work colleagues and friends are claiming that their prayers worked and I believe that miracles do happen - hope they happen to a lot more cancer patients!! Ta Paul M

Hi Paul, I was diagnosed with Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma in 2009 at 28yrs old! I was in remission for 2010 but have been fighting it again since 2011! That's awesome news that you are cleared of cancer cells! I would love to know a bit more about your journey. You are the first person I have heard of and been in contact with since I have been diagnosed. For so long I was certain I was on my own here, such a rare type of cancer we have! Thanks Erin

Hello Erin, sorry to take so long to get back to you, welcome aboard the Cancer Council H & N Group. Fortunatlely or unfortunately, depending on how I am going, I work allbut fulltime hence the time gap in response. I am more than happy to discuss my cancer expereinces with you, but would prefer to use the messages section of this website rather than blogging. If OK with you we can start a private conversation.
