Hi All, I posted this in the forums, but for some reason it doesn't pop up on our front page, and I wanted to make sure anyone who might be interested in this gets a chance to see it! Anyway, ust letting you know about this Myeloma Telephone Support Group (available to Myeloma Patients in ACT, NSW, NT, SA, Tasmania and Victoria). The Pilot runs until 2010. Two trained facilitators provide participants with emotional support, up to date information, and the unique opportunity to connect with other people in a similar situation, over the phone, to discuss and share their related experiences. This is a free and confidential program. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The National Myeloma TSG Pilot Project received funding from the Australian Government through Cancer Australia's Building Cancer Support Networks Grants Programs. Cancer Council NSW has matched the Cancer Australia funding to enable this collaborative support initiative between the Cancer Councils of ACT, NSW, NT, SA, TAS and VIC and the Myeloma Foundation of Australia. For further information please contact the Cancer Council Helpline on 13 11 20. I'll have news soon on our upcoming online support groups that run through this site - watch this space! Take Care, Kate
