Hi bigmumma I just read your crystal ball response and saw that you are off to get scan results this afternoon. Good Luck. I read your profile and you have the same as me except I have 2 lots of mets - liver and lung - great - as if the bowel wasn't enough! There are a few people on this site who have been where we are now and are going really well - but you are the only woman who has the liver mets too. I look forward to discussing symptoms - only joking - how awful - I look forward to talking to you on this site and I really hope everything is going well for you.

Oh dear (I would normally swear but we've only just met!!) I am so sorry about your scan results if it's any consolation that's what happened to me - almost exactly. I was feeling really good then the damn scans showed more spots on my lung and liver (both mets). I had been on chemo for 7 months so they took me off it for 6 weeks and I have another scan next week then back for results following week. Sometimes things are just not fair and we just have to try and look for things that make us happy - be happy about becoming a Grandmother that hopefully will take your mind off the bloody cancer. Sorry about your separation - great timing!! and you never know, this might be the best thing for your son - leaving school! Whatever happens and whatever you are feeling I hope you are coping. The wonderful people on this site have helped me time and time again, so if you need advice or just to vent this is the place to come. Take care byeeee

thanks again cats.yes this new little life entering our world in 9 weeks is definately a welcomed distraction.....so excited....a 1st time nanny....guess ill be big nanna then lol ....all 49 kg of me !! gotta laugh hey.sometimes you just cant see the forest 4 the bloody trees.my last scan was in dec so life sort of goes back 2 "normal'. have been on chemo and avastin till now. my oncologist has ceased that now as it needs to be totally out of my system if they need 2 operate. im so not into having an op . i know if its the best alternative of course ill take it but there are so many other less invasive things out there. have you heard of cyberknife ???im very interested in this procedure. its only available overseas, australian govt not up with it yet (typical). some great people out there trying 2 get it here.i do truly feel 4 you in the lead up 2 your scan cats....will be sending out positive vibes the best i can.please keep me posted.x
