More about this Webinar

If you’re living with advanced cancer, how do you keep yourself as physically and emotionally well as you can and maximise your quality of life? In this webinar, we explore strategies for those living with advanced cancer, their carers and health professionals.

What do I need to do?

The chat here is text based, so no additional software is needed other than a web browser on your phone or computer. To keep up with the latest posts, just hit the refresh button on your browser as the page won't automatically update. As more people chat, page numbers will appear at the bottom of the page to help you jump to the next post in the conversation. Please note, this will pause the live stream and you'll have to hit play when you refresh - if you're on a computer or tablet, consider opening a new tab in your browser to post and one to watch the Webinar!

Afternoon all,

The webinar is just over 3 hours away! @Alicatz2 and @Glassfull, here is your reminder about this evening 😘

For those that haven't been involved in something like this before. We're watching tonight's webinar, hosted by Cancer Council, live here in the Online Community. Once the webinar has finished, a few of us will be here to chat about it. You'll need to refresh your screens to see new replies, the same way you would any web page in your browsers.

Don't be afraid to jump on in and add to the discussion at any time, we're a friendly bunch here

Cheers,

Kate

I have colon cancer that has metastasis to my liver and chest, I’m to start chemo on Monday. Would immuno therapy work for me?

Katekat

@Hellfire-sp - great question, I've passed that on to the team to ask 💛

For anyone that is hanging about, I'll be here for a little while.

Here's a question to get you started: What was one thing that stood out to you in tonight's webinar?

Unfortunately I got time zones mixed up and missed most of the webinar. Is there somewhere I can view it please?

Hi @Annie26 - oh no!

The webinar has only just finished, so it's not yet available. I'd be happy to tag you when it is 😊

Thanks @Katekat , that would be fabulous. Not sure how I managed to mess that one up! Was all bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to settle in only to come in on the last eleven minutes 🤪

My pleasure @Annie26!

We'll be streaming next month's webinar in the Online Community as well, I'll be sure to include times for all our states and territories in my email and posts for that one 😀

Me again Kate

Being not very tech savvy, I can’t seem to open the webinar. Would you please walk me through the steps - sorry, such a dinosaur 🦕😁

Hi @Annie26,

Not sure what's happened, I'll check it out tomorrow when I get into the office.

You can however, watch it here: https://www.facebook.com/CancerCouncilNSW/videos/516135135803551/

You will want to move it forward to half an hour into the video, when the webinar starts. And it goes for approximately 1 hour.
