my boyfriend just had his liver re-sected they cut out the middle bit and joined the two sides with glue.. has anyone else had experience with this? its only hes second night but hes still in icu and really spaced out, just grunting answers.. 😞 i knw itl take a few days for his pain to settle etc.. just want to knw about other peoples experiences!

Hey Maddie! ICU- a scary place- too mmuch beeping! I don't have experience with the glued liver, but have been a support to my husband in ICU and later HDU- and he was very spaced out, with just grunts for replies.... just be there. SOmetimes touching him will be too much, but just take a book, or something (knitting sounds nana but it is a soothing pasttime).....and be there.....
