Hi aina_abdullah,

If you don't mind me asking, what was your doctor sending you to the private hospital for?

Re: Higher risk for significant cervical abnormality

I'm sorry, I can't think of anything that could help you. Could you ask your GP for another specialist to see, one that wouldn't cost you so much?
I think there are a few very greedy doctors out there that care more about the money they can make than the health of the people they are there to serve. But what can we do?
I hope your GP can help you further, or maybe someone else on this site can offer some advice.

All the best

I hope they call you soon. I know it's very stressful having to wait for someone else to do something. All the best to you.

Re: Higher risk for significant cervical abnormality

Hi Aina,

I think Budgie has replied to your post.  I'm hoping for you that this is a false alarm.  I have daughters and daughters in law that have had an abnormal pap smear.  It's just abnormal and so far has not been diagnosed as cancer.  They've had to go and have further tests but luckily no cancer was found.  I'm hoping the same outcome for you and will keep my fingers crossed.

Don't stress just yet.  It's unconfirmed and yes it is a worry but either way it will be diagnosed soon.  Good luck and I hope your news is good.
