Newly Diagnosed

Hi,

I have just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I haven't started treatment yet and would love any support/ suggestions/ recommendations from women  who have travel this path.

I'm very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Its great you have reached out to the forum as there is a wealth of support and wisdom in this group. Getting a new diagnosis is an incredibly challenging time. If you feel it would be supportive please know that you can call Cancer Council on 13 11 20 and speak to a health professional on our information and support line. They are able to provide general information, emotional support and possible referrals to our services.

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis.  I too have Ovarian Cancer- was diagnosed in 2023.

 

I don't usually post and only today have joined so I can post. Not sure why I felt like getting on here today. In any case I saw your message and as I have benefited from the help they have given me just thought I'd share Ovarian Cancer Australia's details in case you don't know about them

 

They have a free support program available to those affected by ovarian cancer across Australia where you can be  linked up with a nurse over the phone that you speak with the same one each time you want a chat.
