Hello everyone, i am a new member. I have just found out from a CT scan that I have liver cancer, primary unknown, and am in quite a bit of shock. I am having my first consultation with a surgeon tomorrow amd was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how to approach that. Christmas day yesterday with my lovely family was an emotional rollercoaster. I am trying to be very open and honest with everyone, lots of big hugs, etc but am sad and scared. How do others manage their thoughts?
Hi Robynmay, so sorry about your diagnosis. All I can suggest for your appointment is write down your questions and take someone with you. Sometimes you can’t remember what is said because of your emotions. I’m glad you had a nice time with your family and were able to be open with them. Sending you love and prayers 🙏💕. LindaG
Hi RobynMay,
I am very sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, I can really understand that you are in shock and very scare.
Perhaps this post will reach after you had your consultation with your doctor (I hope it went well) but it could give you some ideas of what to ask him if you see him again.

Thanks for your support, Linda. Your advice confirmed my thinking. Having people with me at the appt was critical as i only took in about half of what was being said by the specialist. It was exhausting for us all. Kind regards RobynMay
Thank you, Susana.
