Here we are at the end of another week in the Online Community
It's been a bit of a busy week behind the scenes here at Cancer Council NSW, we have been doing a lot of planning for the year ahead and working on the Online Support Groups space - that will be changing over the coming weeks.
We sent our very first email newsletter two weeks ago and we're hoping to send these around the middle of each month. Would you prefer to see something fortnightly or are you happy with a monthly one?
A few members of our team attended the BCNA National Summit the other week, and we've been busy doing some training this week.
We have quite a few new faces here on the Online Community, so please join me in welcome our newest members: @Caitied, @CR, @Debbie1, @DebbieSneyd, @duncan, @elle1948, @Kinkoona, @maggie1, @Maja and @Anonymous!
Joining an Online Community and interacting with strangers, can be easy for some yet difficult for others. Whatever your experience with cancer has been or is currently, the important thing to remember is that you're not alone!
If you're waiting and watching for a good time to post, why not take the first step by posting something simple like - Hi!. Post a line or 2 about yourself and how you found us, and someone will respond. If you're experiencing any difficulties with posting, send an email to onlinecommunity@nswcc.org.au and we'll be happy to assist you.
We know it can be scary, but it isn't, really!
Have a lovely weekend,
Kate and the Online Community team
