Hi, i am having treatment for rectal cancer. This started with 6 weeks of Chemo radiation therapy and then straight chemotherapy scheduled fortnightly for 9 cycles. The chemotherapy involves infusion for about 3-4 hours and leaving with a chemo bottle for 2 days. At about cycle 4 when home with chemo bottle attached to my port the flow would stop after 24 hours giving me only 1/2 of prescribed dose. I have had a portascan which showed the port to be functioning properly. 
why does it stop working after 24 hours? 
has anyone else had this problem?
