Hello everyone, I’m taking litrozole and today I had a very bad day. Is it safe to take? Because it has affected me badly. I’m hot and cold, my body aches, I cry because of stupid things, I feel really sick, nauseous. No appetite and I can’t get out of bed.
Are you also currently having BC chemo, no one told me to stop taking leterzole and the affects were horrendous it wasn’t until I asked for a script they said “you’re not still on this” and I nodded meekly and they were STOP ……it has terrible side affects with or without chemo but with chemo I couldn’t move
Hi,
Really sorry for your side affects.
The hormone blockers aren't fun but some are worse than others.
I had breast cancer last year and was on the hormone blockers too, I put up with it for a few months then changed to one called Anastozole ( after talking to my specialist) which I found had more mild affects for me.
All of them pretty much do the same thing though, they block your estrogen.
I think you should talk to your specialist about it, try a different one, that's what I did.
Good luck,
Cindi xx
Hi Robyn, I’m really sorry to hear that you’re having such a tough time with Letrozole. My wife went through treatment with Letrozole as well and experienced some of the side effects you’re describing. She had issues with feeling hot and cold, body aches, emotional ups and downs, nausea, and a loss of appetite. To help manage these side effects, she found that staying hydrated, eating small, frequent meals, and keeping a journal of her symptoms and triggers helped. It was also useful for her to communicate openly with her doctor about her experiences, as they were able to adjust her treatment plan and offer additional support. I hope you find some relief soon. Good luck with your treatment, and remember that it's important to keep in touch with your healthcare team about how you're feeling. Therefore, in order to achieve the desired effect, it is necessary to use only high-quality Letrozole from reliable pharmacies, then you can be sure of a positive result,
Take care!
Hello Dannyd
Thanks so much for your post!
I am feeling much better since I posted. Taking litrozole is a small price for keeping well. I’m no longer having side effects except a tiny bit of nausea.
Thahks for your encouragement. I really appreciate it.
Robyn.
Thanks Cindi for your post! I am feeling much better since I posted. Only mild side effects now. Still taking litrozole; I guess my body has become used to it.
Robyn.
