Hello again, Im so sorry to hear what has happened. My news is not so good either. About two weeks ago I started having bad pressure headaches, bad dizziness, bad nausea and tiredness. We put it down to just finishing chemo but when it kept on getting worse they put me in for an emergency MRI Tuesday just gone. The MRI came back showing a tumour on the right side of my temporal lobe( first two in the parietal lobe). The good news is it’s operable and I go into hospital on the 21st of Feb and surgery the next morning. Now that it has come back my neurosurgeon thinks I will start getting more but I will keep fighting it as long as I can. Hello all, Over the last week I have shown some signs that something wasn’t right with my head and they were totally different to the signs before my first two removals of GBM tumours I have just finished my 18th cycle of increased TMZ and then I started to get pressure headaches, dizziness, and more tiredness and nausea than what I would get on a chemo week. This is how things went down today. My wife rang my General Physician this morning and told her what was going on, they then got onto my neurosurgeon and discussed the situation and ordered an emergency MRI. I had the MRI done at 12pm and then saw my neurosurgeon an hour later with the results. The bad news is a new tumour has developed in my temporal lobe (the first two were in the partial lobe). The good news is it can be removed and I am booked in to have it done on the 22nd of Feb unless I have any seizures before hand, if I do they will admit me earlier and keep me monitored until the surgery. My neurosurgeon rang the radiotherapy oncologist who I had with the first radiotherapy to see if it was locally targeted. The answer was yes so it looks like I will go through radiotherapy/chemotherapy again. It has now been 20 months since diagnosis and as long as it can be operated on I will keep fighting it. take care and keep smiling 👊🏻 Colin

Hello, I totally understand what you are going through, I see my wife experience exactly what you said about yourself. I had to wipe away the tears as it was so familiar 😢 Your boyfriend and I are fighting the same monster and I will keep fighting it as long as I can but people like you and my wife make it so much easier for us. I have just finished my 18th cycle of increased chemo and without my wife I wouldn’t be still here today. My wife recently went to the Australian Open tennis and shopping in Melbourne for a week with our 14 year old daughter, she felt so guilty about it but it was good for her not to have to worry about me or run me to an appointment. I had my brother come and stay with me. You need to have sometime for yourself as well otherwise it consumes you. Take care Colin

Hi Megan, I had one mask made for radiation and I agree with what Budgie said with his experience. Mine was very similar. With my fitting it took my breath away when they put the warm mould on your face then you get use to it. I found that worse than the radiotherapy sessions. During my 30 sessions of radiotherapy I put on weight due to the amount of steroids I was on so my face did puff up and the mask was extremely tight in the end which gave it a bit of a claustrophobic feel. You do get used to it you just need to relax and breathe. Take care Colin

Hello Cathy, Sorry to read what you and your family is going through. I am 46 years old and have brain cancer, my doctors only gave me14 months to live. It has been 19 months now and I am still fighting it and not giving up anytime soon. I can’t do anything to change what I’m going through so I am going to get the most out of what time I have left with family and friends. My family and friends have been a great support and being positive about fighting my GBM has been easier on them. I echo your comments precisely. Take care Colin
